Our History

The Kansas City Rugby Foundation was formed in 1992 to fill a void in the growth of Rugby in greater Kansas City, especially in the local high school and/or college arenas, and to help extend the Kansas City Rugby Football Club’s influence and growth, thereby allowing the Foundation to accomplish its missions.

Through the years, the Foundation has offered scholarships to low-income high school graduates, participated in numerous charitable events in greater Kansas City, helped national-level players travel overseas with All-American sides, and initiated Rugby programs at several high schools and districts.

Today, the Foundation continues to be a major player in a never-ending crusade to help bring the great sport of Rugby into the sporting awareness of our city.
